The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) helps eligible households upgrade their heating and insulation — here’s how it works.
ECO4 is the latest phase of the government’s Energy Company Obligation. It requires larger energy suppliers to fund energy-efficiency improvements in the homes that need them most, focusing on lower-income and less energy-efficient households.
ECO4 is generally aimed at households receiving certain means-tested benefits, or homes identified through local authority flexible eligibility (LA Flex). Properties with lower EPC ratings are prioritised.
We check ECO4 and other schemes as part of your free quote, so you find out what you may be entitled to without any guesswork.
ECO4 runs until 2026. As availability can change, the quickest way to check is to start a free quote and let us look it up for you.
You don’t have to. Warmr and your installer handle the process on your behalf.
Some measures are available to private tenants with the landlord’s permission. We can check your specific situation.
You may still qualify for other schemes, or benefit from finance options — we’ll show you the full picture.
